Surgeon. Leader. Mentor.

Hello, I’m Dr. Brenda Moorthy.

I am a specialist in treating breast diseases. My goal is to provide a healthcare experience that helps my patients feel supported and cared for every step of the way. Your total well-being is my top goal, and I am here to stand by your side with unwavering dedication.

I am an oncoplastic breast surgeon at the forefront of combining advanced oncologic principles with innovative plastic surgery techniques. My approach enables the complete removal of breast tumors with wider surgical margins while achieving outstanding cosmetic outcomes, redefining standards in breast cancer surgery.

My peers have honored me as a “Top Doc” for over a decade, from 2013 to 2024. My commitment to global health is evident in my efforts to raise breast cancer awareness internationally, particularly in underserved regions like India. I am also a tireless advocate for women in healthcare. I mentor high school and college students aspiring to careers in medicine, inspiring the next generation of medical leaders.

I completed her Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at the prestigious University of Southern California, following an intensive general surgery residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.

In addition to my clinical expertise, I am also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Creighton University, where I contribute to academic medicine through teaching and mentorship. As a forward-thinking researcher, I have coauthored publications on topics such as artificial intelligence and male breast cancer. I also consult on the development of technology apps designed to improve the care and management of chemotherapy patients, bridging innovation and patient-centric solutions.

Beyond my professional achievements, I am passionate about nutrition and its impact on oncology patients, integrating this interest into my practice and patient education. I share my insights through podcasts and other media on this website, furthering my mission to empower patients and improve cancer care.
